Our Story

Vara Water Borne Coatings (VWBC) was established in 2013 as a proprietary company. Earlier it was started as Vara Water Borne Polymers in the year 2005 as a partnership association.

VWBC is likely the first in India to manufacture completely indigenous water borne coatings. Water borne coatings in true sense replace the scarce petroleum-based solvents used in all types of industrial paints and varnishes and improves air quality. Thus making them totally environmentally friendly.

VWBC has the vision to supply water borne coatings for OEM companies to make them truly Environment Management System (EMS) driven. VWBC also conducts open seminars and workshops on Surface Coating technology, trains shop executives and operators in paint shops as part of ISO 9001 certification with reference to organic finishing.

Founder

B Balaji Viswanath is a Post graduate in Polymer Science and Paint Technologist from Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapur AP with 29 years of experience in the field of surface coatings. He had a dissertation on water borne coatings (CED in particular) from IICT, Hyderabad.

He had worked for M/S CEAT LTD., as a polymer chemist for one year and M/S. Bharat Fritz Werner Ltd., as a paint technologist for about 14 years. He has hands on expertise in manufacture of Water Borne Coatings and cathodic electro deposition (CED).

He has trained engineers/ operators in many companies viz.., TATA Motors, TVS Motor Company, Sundaram Auto Components, Royal Enfield, Ashok Leyland etc., Also conducts open seminars on Surface Coating Technology with reference to organic finishing. The experience and expertise of Mr Balaji Viswanath will definitely helpful for paint shop administrators, Engineers, Quality Heads in Automotive Industry in particular and Engineering Industry in general.
